The police in Kwara State have disclosed how a neighbour of a herder conspired with criminals to rob him of N800,000; proceeds realised from the sale of his cow.
The suspects: Mohammed Bello (neighbour), Abubakar and one other, it was learnt, invaded the house of the herder, Mohammed Usman, and inflicted cuts on his and wife’s heads and bodies and in the process robbed them of N800,000.

Speaking further on the incident, the police spokesman in the state, Ajayi Okasanmi, said the command’s tactical team, in conjunction with vigilantes and hunters, arrested the three suspects while the gang leader was still at large.
He said, “During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime and took the investigators to their armoury wherein one AK-47, a locally made pistol and masks were recovered.”
