A commercial motorcycle operator in Osogbo, Osun State, Joseph Oriyomi, was arraigned at a Magistrate court on Thursday for allegedly exploiting orphans sexually.
The prosecutor, Inspector Adeoye Kayode, told the court that the 37-year-old man committed the offence at Salako Atiba Street, Stadium area, Osogbo in 2016.

Kayode said that the offence committed by the accused person was contrary to and punishable under Section 249(D) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 vol.II Laws of Osun State Nigeria, 2002.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to the offence leveled against him and his counsel, Kehinde Adepoju applied for the bail.
He told the court that his ordeal started when one of the orphans fell sick and died last Sunday.
The Magistrate, Ishola Omisade, granted him bail in the sum of N200,000 with 1 surety in like sum.
On the sideline of the case, Daily Trust learnt that after the parents of the girls died, the motorcyclist offered to accommodate them in the process of which he exploited them sexually.
Our correspondent gathered that Oriyomi arranged with the older girl to live with him and allow him have sex with her regularly in return for financial assistance which she agreed to.
It was gathered that the man later entered into the same arrangement with the younger sister and she also accepted the offer as last resort.
Daily Trust findings revealed that the elder sister gave birth to three children for the man while the younger girl gave birth to two children for the same man.
Our correspondent learnt that the elder sister did not know that the man was the father of her younger sister’s children too.
After the elder girl died from a strange sickness and the younger girl also fell sick, the man began to face problems and then located the families of the parents of the two sisters which led to his arrest.
