The wife of a doctor at Federal Medical Centre, Makurdi, has been abducted.
The woman alongside her friend were kidnapped at gunpoint at New GRA in Makurdi metropolis in Benue State.
Witnesses said the incident happened between 6:00pm and 6:30 pm.
The wife of the doctor had reportedly driven her friend home when gunmen attacked them in front of the the doctor’s residence.
The friend, was about alighting from the doctor’s wife vehicle, right in front of her house when the incident occurred.
The doctor simply identified as Dr Dzwachi, confirmed the abduction of his wife and her friend.
He refused to go into details but said the incident had been reported to the police.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for Benue Command, DSP Catherine Anene, did not respond to calls put through her telephone as at the time of filing this report.
