According to her, “On December 15, I called him on phone to come and help me carry my loads from the market but told me he was washing his tricycle and would not be able to come. Since then, I have not heard of him.”

The sister further said since then the family started searching for him and fortunately, his tricycle was found in Anguwan Rogo where it was given to someone to sell, adding that the person who was arrested with the Keke revealed that Raymond was the one who gave him to sell and take his share.

Sevina said Raymond who was eventually arrested by the police revealed that he killed Mika and the body was buried in a compound not far from the deceased’s house, adding that on December 24, the accused accompanied the police to the house where the body was buried and exhumed the body.

While expressing sadness over the incident, his father, Luka Remi, described the murder as unfortunate and called on the police to do justice to his son.

When contacted on the incident, the spokesman of the State Police Command, Ubah Gabriel, said he would confirm from the state Criminal Investigation Division where the accused was said to have been taken to. But as at the time of filing this report, he had neither called back nor responded to my call.
