Gunmen have abducted the traditional ruler of Owa Onire, Oba Abdulrahaman Lawal Ifabiyi, his wife and driver in Ifelodun LGA of Kwara State.
It was gathered that the victims were ambushed when they were returning from a function on Saturday around Oba-Isin and Owa Onire between Isin and Ifelodun LGAs and whisked away.

The Kwara State Police Command’s spokesman, Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the incident, said the police, vigilantes and hunters were dispatched to the area by the Commissioner of Police, Paul Odama.
He said the wife of the traditional ruler had been rescued, and that two suspects involved in the kidnap had been arrested and were helping the police on its investigation.
He further said effort was ongoing to rescue the traditional ruler and his driver.
