‘How I will co-ordinate Eagles’

Speaking to Weekly Trust yesterday, the former Super Eagles utility player said as a patriotic Nigerian, he is always ready to serve the country and would dedicate himself to coordinating the senior national team players with all diligence.
He said having played the game at the highest level, he knows exactly what his position demands and he would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that he satisfies the players and those who assigned him the responsibility.
Garba Lawal who is also the chairman of Kaduna United said he will try to be a link between the Nigeria Football Federation and the players who he said need to be handled with utmost respect and care.
“I am very comfortable with the appointment. I have been there before so I know exactly what is expected of me. Relating with the players and getting them to give their best is not going to be a problem.
“Even as adults, the players still have emotional and psychological needs which I can use my wealth of experience to help them tackle. I will always be there for them.
Lawal also said he will be willing  to support the team in other ways, if called upon to do so.
