However, he was not successful as he got arrested after several shouts for help by the rider.

“He disguised himself as a passenger and took the rider to a place that people would not notice his bad intention.”

While confessing to the crime, the suspect said he had been doing that on tricycle riders, but this should have been the last as he intended to use the tricycle to carry passengers.

According to him, he poured dried pepper on the faces of the riders’ so that they would become confused, and he would steal the tricycle which he sold to his buyers.

“But this time around after I poured the pepper on his eyes, he didn’t fall. He started shouting thieves and people noticed. I got arrested.

“I regret this. I intended to use the tricycle to be working to earn a living. I didn’t intend to sell it. But this is my last time. I will never do it again,” he said.

The spokesman of the NSCDC said the suspect would be charged in court.
