The 2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid has been described as a great vehicle in the hybrid and electric car class given the wide range of features embedded in it.
It has a cushioned ride, ample horsepower, and also good fuel economy as is typical of most Toyota brands.

In comparison to the 2020 model, Toyota introduces a new trim to the Camry Hybrid’s lineup (the XSE) and increases the size of the available touch screen from 8 inches to 9 in the 2021 model.
And from 2018 till date, it has been one improvement or the other as checks show. For instance, the 2018 model comes fully redesigned with an 8-horsepower bump, better mpg ratings, sharper handling, a larger trunk, and an updated infotainment system with a larger touch screen and available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
But 2019 comes with a Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa added to the standard features list.
In 2020, it gained standard Android Auto while hybrid battery warranty was lengthened. However, the 2021 comes with a 9-inch touch screen.
Seating capacity
This model can seat five people. It has a cloth upholstery and a power-adjustable driver’s seat. A power-adjustable front passenger seat is available, as are synthetic or genuine leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
There are two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the rear outboard seats. There’s also a tether anchor for the rear middle seat, which can borrow a lower anchor from both sides.
For the most part, the Camry Hybrid uses high-quality materials in its cabin, though the doors and dash in lower trims are covered in hard plastic. Higher trims like the XLE or XSE add luxuries like wooden accents and patterned materials.
In terms of cargo compartment
Both the Toyota Camry and the Camry Hybrid have a 15.1-cubic-foot trunk. Both cars’ trunks have wide openings, and their split-folding rear seats can be used to create extra space.
Standard advanced safety features:
It comes with a long list of advanced safety features such as Lane departure warning; Lane keep assist; Lane trace assist; Pedestrian and cyclist detection; Traffic sign recognition; Forward collision warning; Forward automatic emergency braking; Rearview camera; Adaptive cruise control and automatic high-beam headlights.
Others are surround-view parking camera system; blind spot monitoring; Rear cross-traffic alert; Reverse automatic emergency braking and head-up display.
Camry Hybrid engine
Every Camry Hybrid model comes with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder gas engine and an electric motor that collectively produce 208 horsepower. The setup is well-suited for daily driving.
And the transitions between gas and electric power have been designed to be quiet smooth and the powertrain is quiet.
Toyota says at the heart of this design is the desire to give peace of mind to motorists.
“From the 2020 model year forward, every Toyota hybrid battery warranty will cover 10 years from date of first use or 150,000 miles, whichever comes first (previously 8 years or 100,000 miles),” Toyota said.
