How commissioner-nominee died in Kwara

Mr Tunji Abel, a commissioner nominee in Kwara State, is dead.

He died at the weekend in Ilorin, the state capital before his screening in the state House of Assembly.

He was reported to have died Friday night in one of the popular hospitals along Lajoorin area in Ilorin due to complications from high blood pressure.

The late Abel, who was in his early 50s, has been buried in his hometown, Ayekojo.

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq said he was shocked over the untimely death of Abel.

The Governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, commiserated with deceased family, friends and associates.

He prayed Almighty God rest his soul and comfort his family at this trying time.
