How Buhari won in Ekiti, Osun states

President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was. Monday decalred the winner in Ekiti and Osun states Presidential elections.

This was declared by the collation officers of both states at the National collation centre Abuja.

According to the Collation officer for the Ekiti presidential and the national assembly elections who is also the vice chancellor for the Ekiti State University, Idowo Olayinka, the APC and their candidate emerged as the winner of the election in the state.

Olayinka said APC polled 219,231 to defeat their close rival the PDP Which also polled 154,32 in a state with 899,919 registered voters and 395,741 accredited.

He said that the total valid votes in the 16 LGAs are 381,132, the rejected votes being 12,577, while the total votes cast are 393,709.
He said the rejected votes were as a results of multiple votes.

Also in Osun State, the Collation officer for the presidential and the National Assembly elections who is also the vice chancellor for University of Lagos, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, announced the APC and their candidate, incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari as the winner of the election in the state.

Ogundipe said the APC polled 347,634 to defeat PDP with 337,377 in a neck-to-neck contest in the state.
According to him, there were 1,674,729 registered voters but only 732,984 voters were accredited.

The two results were signed by the collation officer and also endorsed by o we 20 agents including those from all the major political parties.
