The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel arrived the State House of Assembly Tuesday morning to a rowdy session of youths heralding his visit.
Immediately Emmanuel entered the premises of the Assembly, gunshots were fired by security personnel.
The factional speaker, Nse Ntuen who had earlier sat with the four other sacked lawmakers were harassed by security personnel in front of the Assembly.

His vehicle was destroyed while he escaped being mobbed by supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and security personnel.
As the governor entered the assembly hall, youths started shouting ‘eight years’, ‘eight years’.
Many journalists had to run for safety amidst gunshots.
