Hoodlums steal bike in FCT council

Hoodlums on Thursday scaled the fence of a house and stole a motorcycle in the Naharati area in Unguwar Sabon-Tasha in Abaji Area Council of the FCT.

A resident, identified simply as Yakubu, said the incident happened around 5am when the owner of the motorcycle had gone to the mosque.

In a related development that same day, suspected hoodlums invaded a farm and stole maize in the area.

Another resident said the incident happened when the owner of the farm, identified simply as Umar, an NSCDC officer, went to the farm and discovered that a large portion had been harvested and packed inside two sacks and abandoned on the farm.

He said the hoodlums, upon hearing the sound of the motorcycle of the owner of the farm, fled and abandoned the maize.

The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, could not be reached for comment.
