Hoodlums stab man, escape with his phone in Gwagwalada

A man identified as Kabiru Danjuma was allegedly brutalized leaving him with injuries and his phone taken away by suspected hoodlums at Unguwar Dodo in Gwagwalada.

A resident of the area, Ibrahim Aliyu, said the incident happened on Saturday around 10:47pm when the victim was trekking to his house in the area.

He said the victim, who was returning from Zuba, alighted from the vehicle, when the said two hoodlums accosted him, stabbed him with a knife and snatched his phone.

He said the hoodlums took to their heels before vigilantes could arrive at the scene, adding that the victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

Also two weeks ago, some hoodlums attacked a resident and four others with a knife and snatched their phones in the area.

Some residents, however, accused scavengers for being behind the attacks.

The spokeswoman of the FCT police command, SP Josephine Adeh, was yet to confirm the latest incident as at the time of filing the report.
