A commercial cyclist identified as Benjamin Daniel has been stabbed to
death by suspected hoodlums while his motorcycle was taken away along
the Kaida -Daku village in Dobi ward of Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.
A resident of Kaida village, Iliya Dantani, said the incident happened on
Saturday, around 5;23 pm when the deceased cyclist was conveying two men on his motorcycle on their way to Daku village.

He said the cyclist picked the passengers from Paiko village, after negotiating to pay him N8,500, in which the cyclist later agreed and picked them.
He said the corpse of the cyclist was found dumped inside a big ditch along the road with deep cuts on the neck and stomach by some residents who were returning from the farm.
It was even some farmers who were returning from the farm that saw the corpse and alerted some people at Kaida village, in which one of the cyclist in the community alongside some residents mobilised to the scene to identified the corpse, he said.
He said the deceased cyclist’s corpse was later evacuated by some vigilantes from the community after the deceased’s relatives were identified and taken to Paiko for burial.
A member of the vigilante also confirmed the incident, saying the incident was the second time, after it happened in December late last year.
The spokeswoman for the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine is yet to confirm the incident as at the time of filing the report.
