A middle-aged man simply identified as Samson Ayuba was reportedly killed while his motorcycle was taken away by suspected hoodlums at the Tukurwa village in Kwali Area Council of the FCT.
A resident of Kwali, Gambo Isaac, said the incident happened on Monday around 6:12 pm after the deceased had left Kwali market on his way back to his village.
He said the hoodlums targeted the deceased at a forest some distance of one kilometre from Tukurwa village, where they came from the bush and flagged him down.
He said, “When the man slowed down at a bad portion of the road, the hoodlums appeared from the bush and hit him with a hard object on the head and he fell before they escaped with his motorcycle.

‘’The hoodlums tied his hands and mouth and dragged him near the bush by the roadside before they fled.”
Isaac said after his family waited without seeing him, some vigilantes mobilised to search for him only to find his corpse in a bush by the roadside.
The spokeswoman for the FCT Police Command, Adeh Josephine, said the command was unaware of the incident but would find out and get back.
