A 37-year old man, Zaphaniya Ishaya, has been killed by hoodlums suspected to armed robbers in Dabi community of Kwali Area Council of the FCT.
A resident, Danjuma Japhet, said the incident happened on Monday night around 11pm when the hoodlums in their numbers operated from house to house dispossessing their victims of valuables.
He said the hoodlums who were carrying machetes, sticks and other objects descended on the Ishaya and inflicted a deep machete cut on his head, adding that he later died in the hospital.
The spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, DSP Adeh Josephine, did not reply to an SMS sent to her to confirm the incident.
