A commercial motorcyclist, simply identified as Nasiru, has been strangled to death by suspected hoodlums in Pegni community in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
A resident, Ibrahim Saleh, said the incident happened on Saturday around 8pm near a cashew plantation.
He said the victim took two passengers from Tipper Garage in Kuje town and was on his way to Pegi village when the hoodlums waylaid him.
He further said, “On reaching the cashew farm, about a kilometre to Pegi, the hoodlums brought out a rope and strangled the cyclist and escaped with his bike.”

He added that the remains of the deceased were discovered on Sunday by some residents who were going to the farm. The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
