Hoodlums have killed a 16-year-old herder, Abas Sani, in Plateau State.
Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Yakubu Idris, who confirmed the incident to Daily Trust Saturday, stated that the deceased was killed in Tegway village of Bassa Local Government Area while rearing cattle, adding that his corpse was dumped by the riverside.

The chairman explained that “The corpse was discovered with efforts of personnel of sector 3 of Operation Safe Haven stationed in the area.”
The chairman also disclosed that in the last two weeks, five cattle belonging to their members were poisoned in the area and the incident was reported to the OPSH, adding that the recent incidents against them were provocative.
