Armed hoodlums on Sunday invaded an estate behind the FRSC office in Abaji in the FCT and dispossessed tenants of valuables.
A victim, Joseph Micheal, said the hoodlums, who were six in number and wielding daggers and cutlasses, broke into the estate around 2:07 am after scaling through the fence.
He said the hoodlums who moved from flat to flat after destroying burglary made away with phones, money and jewelries of some of the occupants.
“One of them used a dagger and hammer to destroy my flat protector before they came into room and robbed me of some money and my phones,” he said.

“But as God will have it, one of my neighbours who saw the hoodlums operating quietly phoned the DSS operatives, who started shooting into the air,” he said.
He said the hoodlums took to their heels after operatives of the State Security Service, whose office was close to the estate, shot several times into the air.
The spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, DSP Adeh Josephine, is yet to confirm the incident as she did not reply to a text message sent to her.
