No fewer than 15 cars have been destroyed following a clash between some youths in the Pakata, Sakale and Ita Nmo areas of Ilọrin, the Kwara State capital.
The incident, it was gathered, occurred at midnight on Wednesday when the youths in their hundreds stormed the neighbourhoods welding cutlasses, knives and bottles.
The details of what led to the incident were still sketchy as at the time of filing this report.
A victim of the fracas whose car’s windscreen was destroyed, Mr Bolakale Yusuf, said, “It was around 12am. There were over 100 youths wielding weapons and shouting ‘ole, ole’.

“They didn’t attack themselves but descended on cars and other property around and nobody could come out to stop them.”
Another victim, Mr Mashood, told City & Crime that his car was badly damaged during the process and called on the police to do the needful.
Contacted, the police spokesman in the state, Ajayi Okasanmi, said, “I will give you updates about the incident and arrests made so far later.”
