After gaining access, the miscreants were reported to have demanded for his ATM cards and its pin under duress and transferred undisclosed sum of money from his account.  Also, the hoodlums were reported to have taken the key of his Venza car from him and drove it away.

“The judge was with his family in the night when the miscreants invaded his residence. They carted away money and other valuables, including his Venza Benz and zoomed off,” an aide, who craved for anonymity, said.

Efforts to speak with the judge over the incident failed as a close aide said he was indisposed presently.

The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP William Aya, however, confirmed the incident but said it was a case of burglary.

He added that the Venza Benz was tracked and recovered in the town, as hoodlums abandoned it for fear of being arrested.

SP Aya said the command had intensified efforts to track the culprits.
