This is about the third time the Abuja-Kaduna train service will come under attack by hoodlums.

Eyewitnesses said Monday’s incident happened as the train approached Kubwa.
One of the passengers, who identified himself as Alhaji Nura, told our correspondent that: “What really happened was that on our last approach to Kubwa Station, some small boys on the bridge threw stones and broke the windscreen on the driver side of the train. The train stopped and all the policemen on board went out after the hoodlums.
The Abuja-Kaduna train service manager, Pascal Nnorli, who confirmed the attack, said it was not by bandits.
“The attention of Nigerian Railway Corporation has been drawn to fake online news that the KA4 train from Kaduna to Abuja was attacked this afternoon by armed bandits between Asham and Kubwa” he said.
“The incident occurred between Asham and Kubwa sections. Some children threw stones and broke the windscreen of our locomotive.
The crew and armed police escort went after them, but they all escaped. Thereafter, the train continued its trip down to Idu,” he explained.
