Try: TLC
That’s just for tender, loving care, but those letters pack all you can do for your infant with a runny nose, without resorting to over-the-counter medicines.
First, put a cool-mist humidifier in his room when he sleeps. You can use a saline nasal spray, and then a bulb syringe.
Instead of an extra pillow, put a wedge in his crib to help mucus drain downward instead of congesting his tiny chest.
Take your child with you into a steam shower, if you have one.
Finally, try a good cuddle on the rocking chair. There is no proof that this definitively works for cold symptoms, but in a dark room in the middle of the night, it sure feels good for both of you.
