Hit-and-run tricycle crushes woman in Ilorin

An unidentified woman was crushed to death by a hit-and-run tricycle rider on Saturday in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The incident, according to a witness, occurred at Unity Road in the early hours of Saturday.

The victim was rushed to a private hospital at Sabo-Oke, where she was confirmed dead on arrival by the doctor on duty.

The state Sector Commander of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC), Muftau Irekeola Adebayo, confirmed the incident to City & Crime on Sunday.

According to him, “It was a hit-and-run tricycle that hit the woman shortly before the start of the weekend’s environmental sanitation exercise.

“She was rushed to the hospital by eyewitnesses where she was pronounced dead.”
