He said this while addressing PDP stakeholders in Calabar as they prepare for May 28 2022 primaries of the party.

He said, “History will judge the electorate if we fail to elect the right people to positions of power.

“I am ready, qualified, available and have the right credentials which reasons I have offered myself to intervene in the country’s situation.”

The former vice president alleged that the national ruling party had failed woefully in the area of security, thereby putting Nigerians’ lives at risk.

He said he had the capacity, determination and courage to fix the issue of insecurity.

“The government of President (Muhammadu) Buhari has completely disappointed Nigerians in the area of security. The northern part of the country is the worst hit. The situation should no longer continue.”

He stressed that PDP can no longer afford to be in opposition, adding that the party would reclaim both Cross River State and the country.

The aspirant said if he became the president, he would work with the National Assembly to restructure the country.

He promised to give more powers to both the state and local governments.
