A police constable simply identified as Basiru has been arrested by Hisbah, the Shari’a police, for alleged sexual exploitation of underage girls and women in Kano.
Basiru and one Jamilu, now at large, used a house at Rummawa area of Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State where they lured girls and women to their sexual escapades.

Daily Trust reports that luck ran out on Basiru when residents of the area alerted officials of Hisbah, when he took a 16-year-old girl to the house.

A Hisbah official, who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “The community complained about the house on several occasions and we had to step in and arrest the suspect and the girl.”
The matter has been reported at the KwaKwachi Police Station for investigation.
