The commander, Fagge command of Kano state Hisbah Board, Ustaz Jamilu Yusuf has been arrested by the operatives of National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP over alleged involvement in trafficking of a one-year-old child.
The zonal Commander, NAPTIP, Shehu Umar disclosed this on Monday when members of the state Committee for the Implementation of Report of Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the issue of missing persons in Kano paid him a courtesy visit.

He said five people, including the Hisbah commander, have been arrested in connection with.
The command is still investigating the case as an illegal adoption or sale of the baby.
Daily Trust gathered that the child in question was born out of wedlock and was abandoned by its mother at Fagge about a year ago.
When the child was discovered, it was said to have been handed to the Maiunguwan Fagge before it was allegedly sold off to a woman of Imo state origin by the Commander.
Both the Mai Unguwa and the alleged buyer of the child have been arrested and are currently under interrogation by the NAPTIP.
The commandant said the suspects would be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
The Chairman of the committee, Justice Wada Umar said their visit was meant to foster the spirit of team work and synergy with a view to put to a permanent hold the issue of missing persons in the state.
Hisbah is an Islamic police charged with the responsibility of enforcing Shari’a law among the Muslim population.
