Detectives attached to the Lagos State police command have arrested a 64-year-old herbalist, Sola Kazeem, and two others for allegedly possessing a human head.
The police claimed that the three suspects, who operate an illegal security outfit named Citizens for Peace and First Aid Mission of Nigeria, allegedly severed the head of a corpse buried within their office environment in Ikorodu.
The Lagos State police boss, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Hakeem Odumosu, while parading the suspects yesterday at the command’s headquarters, Ikeja, identified them as Israel Okon, 42; Joe Nwoke Charles, 35; and Ishola Kazeem, 64.
Odumosu said detectives recovered some human skeletons, 18 expended cartridges, eight dummy wooden guns, charms, a banner with the inscription of the name of the outfit, and their operational Golf car with number plate USR 158 HP.
He said the human skull was recovered from Kazeem, who confessed to being a herbalist.
AIG Odumosu said the suspects would be charged to court.
