The Oyo State Police Command on Wednesday said it has arrested six serial rapists in connection with having unlawful carnal knowledge of one Temitope Hamzat and publishing her nude pictures and video on social media.
The Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, who stated this while parading the suspects at the command headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan, said the woman was lured into a local bar where she was forced to consume a sedative.

The incident was said to have happened in Alausa Community, Idi-Igba area of Oyo town.
The suspects are Isijola Okeowo, Amusan Abiodun, Daniel Amusan, Mayowa Fadokun, Glory Nwanga and Olasunkanmi Taiwo.
Onadeko explained that as soon as the victim became unconscious due to the effect of the sedative substance, the hoodlums took her into one of the rooms at the bar where four of them subsequently took turns to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her.
According to her, the rapists invited a female member of their gang to take pictures and make video recordings of the unlawful sexual activity and later forwarded the “obscene sexual content’’ to another hoodlum who published same on social media platforms with the intent to further discredit the victim.
The CP said, “Upon interrogation, the suspects made confessional statements to the crime and explained the roles each of them played in the crime.”
