Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Heartland have promoted their newly appointed Head Coach, Hassan Sharif Abdallah to serve as the technical adviser in the 2021/2022 season.

The initial appointment of the former Super Eagles player was made following the departure of the former technical adviser of the club, Fidelis Ilechukwu who has since pitched tent with Plateau United.

The decision to elevate Abdallah was taken by the management of the club on Tuesday in Owerri, the Imo State capital as the ‘Naze Millionaires’ continue their preparations for the forthcoming season.

So based on the new development, the former Kano Pillars, Abiola Babes, Ranchers Bees, Gombe United, Sharks, Calabar Rovers and Enugu Rangers player is expected to reverse the dwindling fortunes of Heartland who managed to survive relegation in the 2021 NPFL season..

Coach Abdallah once served as the Chief Scout of the national U-20 team, the Flying Eagles that featured at the U-20 AFCON Niger Republic and FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland in 2019.

He also served in the same capacity under the immediate past Golden Eaglets  set under Coach Fatai Amoo.

The former Nigerian International is an elder brother to former Enyimba and Wikki Tourists coach, Usman Sharif Abdallah.
