The provost of Muwanshant College of Health Science and Technology, Jalingo, Sani Musa Adamu, has disclosed that three courses offered in the college were fully accredited.
He announced this at the maiden matriculation of 317 students for 2020/2021 academic session in Jalingo on Thursday.
The provost said the college was established in 2019 as a private institution to offer medical health courses for middle health cadre personnel.
He said the courses accredited include diploma in Community Health, certificate in Community Health and national diploma in Computer Science.
Adamu also revealed that more accreditation was also secured last year by the college for professional diploma in Health Information Management and diploma in Pharmacy Technician.
In his address, the state Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Mr Edward Baraya, commended the foresight of proprietor of the college for establishing the institution.
He said the private sector had crucial role to play in the education sector, especially on training of medical health personnel.
The vice chancellor of the Taraba State University, Professor Vincent Tenebe, announced that the university would offer direct entry to students of the college who obtained high grade at the end of their courses.
