The Minister of State for Health, Ekumankama Joseph Nkama, yesterday asked heads of agencies and units under the ministry to do away with irrelevant expenses.
Speaking in Abuja at a bilateral session on the 2023 budget preparation organised for the agencies under the ministry, he charged them to cut the cost of governance.

He noted that the government’s finances were “highly stressed by the present economic situation in the country”.
He said the ministry, in conjunction with the relevant MDAs, would upscale the financial prudence geared towards quality and effective healthcare system.
