Damson Idris, a British actor, has mourned Babatunde Omidina, Nigerian comic actor popularly known as Baba Suwe.
Damson, who shared a post on his Twitter handle, said Baba Suwe was the first to teach him about comedy.
“Rest in peace Baba Suwe. A Nigerian icon and the man who first taught me about comedy. God bless,” he posted.
Baba Suwe, who died on Monday, will be laid to rest on Thursday, November 25.
There was a controversy after his son said his father was abandoned in his dying days.
In a video, which went viral on Monday, the actor’s son filmed his father’s corpse and said people did not come to his aid.
