In his sermon during a revival service to build up the faith of christians in the new year, Asemua noted that many are bound to face challenges but some of these challenges turn out to be for the good of the individual.

According to him, “Our faith will be tried in different ways and challenges abound on the way. But the promises of God are always constant regardless of the challenges.”

He encouraged Christians to remember the faithfulness of the Lord in the past and in the present, to know that God is able to bring His promises to pass.

The cleric said any challenge that comes our way as a Christian is to make us stronger.

“The trial of your faith is more precious than gold that perishes (I Peter 1:7),” he quoted. He said if Christians have strong faith in God, the testimony would be a challenge to others and referred to Esther and Job in the bible.

The pastor said if Christians must overcome this year, their language must also change because it is what we confess that matters in our life.

“We encourage Christians to speak with faith and act with faith. Whatever the devil does, just know that your redeemer lives,” he stated.

The cleric stressed that Christians can only conquer by faith, adding that it is by faith that they can get anything this year because it is not by any ability but faith in God. “There are bound to be challenges as we journey through this year but by faith in God, we will overcome,” he concluded.
