Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has visited the residence of the parents of the murdered 5-year-old, Hanifa Abubakar, to condole with the family over the unjust and gruesome murder of their daughter.
Osinbajo expressed his grievances over the sad event saying, “Looking at the swiftness of security agencies in unravelling the case, I am optimistic that the judiciary will do their best in ensuring justice for the innocent little girl that was murdered.”

Osinbajo who visited the family on Tuesday was accompanied by the Kano state governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, among other government officials.
Hanifa Abubakar, the five-year-old pupil was reportedly killed by her proprietor, Abdulmalik Tanko.
Daily Trust had reported how Tanko, the proprietor of Noble Kids Nursery and Primary School, Kawana, Kano, was arrested in connection with the incident.
The victim was abducted in December and her captors had demanded N6m ransom. While trying to collect part of the ransom, security operatives arrested Tanko and some other suspects.
Tanko, 34, and his accomplices – Hashim Isyaku, 37 years, and Fatima Jibrin, 26 years, all residents of Tudun Murtala in Nasarawa LGA of Kano State, were accused of criminal conspiracy, kidnap, confinement and culpable homicide contrary to section 97, 274, 277, 221 of the penal code.
