As part of the programmes lined up for its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM), the Richard Agbonifo’s Hand2Hand Sports Foundation, will be organising a Handball Tournament for Cadet Boys and Girls in Abuja.
The tournament is scheduled for Thursday April 18, 2024 at the Old Parade Ground, in Area 10, Garki.
The Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) said it would use the platform to gift bags, books, and sports shoes to the children, already benefiting from its scholarship programme.
According to the NGO, the AGM which will be held on Saturday April 13, 2024 in Abuja is centred on the foundation’s desire to work together with partners, to improve the lives of indigent children and youths in Nigeria.

It will be recalled that in 2022 the foundation donated 1, 000 (one thousand) pairs of shoes and jerseys to children who are talented and are into playing handball in the FCT.
The Foundation also supports financially disadvantaged children and youths through education-related scholarships, thus giving them a perspective for the future.
The founder and president of the foundation, Agbonifo who is also a member of the FCT Handball Association Board noted that the foundation will help to curtail the migration of Nigerian athletes or handball players who after leaving the country, would go ahead to represent other countries instead of Nigeria.
Agbonifo who was a former handball player but lives in Germany said helping talented kids realise their dream of playing handball is the vision behind his NGO.
