Speaking at a one-day Hajj summit organized by the Association for Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria (AHOUN), South-West Zone in Lagos, the Secretary-General of NSCIA, Dr. AbdulLateef Adegbite, said NAHCON should henceforth protest  maltreatment of any Nigerian pilgrim by the Saudi Arabian immigration officers or by any international airlines.

According to Dr. Adegite, Nigerian pilgrims are not always treated humanely when they get to Saudi Arabia to perform the religious duty of Hajj.

He said NSCIA frowned at recurring maltreatment of Nigerians in the holy land, adding that it would no longer take kindly to it.

“Let me say here today that we frown at the way Nigerian pilgrims are being treated in Saudi Arabia by the officials of the Saudi Government.  I would call on our government through NACHON to take this up with the Saudi Arabia so that the maltreatment of Nigerians while in the Holy land could stop.
