The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has called for the establishment of an international passport desk in all the states of the federation for intending pilgrims.
Speaking during a visit to the Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) Thursday, the Chairman of NAHCON, Jalal Arabi, said the move was to secure passport availability in preparation for this year’s pilgrimage.
While recognising the significance of international passport usage in fulfilling the commission’s mandate, Arabi also urged NIS to assign a desk officer to state Muslim pilgrims’ agencies.
