Hajj: Lagos to feed pilgrims

The Lagos State government has assured intending pilgrims from the state of a hitch-free exercise, adding that all necessary measures have been put in place to guarantee that.
The Amirul-Hajj for this year’s exercise, Dr. Abdul Hakeem Abdul-Lateef stated this at the end of a three-day orientation organised for intending pilgrims in Lagos by the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Delivering Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s goodwill message to the intending pilgrims, he said the orientation programme was aimed at educating pilgrims on what is required of them during the exercise.
He said part of the welfare package for the pilgrims by the government include free meal, clothing, payment for hadiyah ram and comfortable accommodation in Mecca and Medina.
He enjoined the pilgrims to be good ambassadors and be steadfast in their prayers for Lagos State and the country.
