Katsina state will start airlift of its pilgrims back to Nigeria this Thursday 13th, the Executive Director of the state pilgrims welfare Board, Abu Rimi has said.
Daily Trust reports that delay in the return journey home has caused serious tension and apprehension among the pilgrims with other states almost concluding their return flight.
Addressing pilgrims at Salama Towers, one of the hotels housing the pilgrims, Rimi said all arrangement for the first flight home by Thursday have been concluded.
‘ I want to equally tell you that, aside our first flight on that day, we have equally secured the second, third and fourth flights for 14th, 15th and 16th respectively’ he added.
He thanked the pilgrims for their patience and equally en joined them to continue to cooperate with officials for a hitch free return journey back to Katsina.
Meanwhile, weighing of luggage has been concluded in preparation for the return home.
About 2810 pilgrims performed this year’s Hajj From the state.
