Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland has won the UEFA Player of the Year award.
He was declared winner on Thursday ahead of Kevin de Bruyne, and Lionel Messi.
The UEFA Player of the Year award is set to honor the outstanding achievements in European football from the previous season.
The UEFA jury, consisting of respected coaches and journalists chosen by European Sports Media, carefully selected the top three players from the 2022/23 season.
This makes it two awards that the Norway striker will receive this week.
He won the PFA Player of the Year earlier in the week and now wins this after a sublime first season in England.
Haaland finished last season with 52 goals in 53 games as City won the treble.
The UEFA Women’s Player of the Year award was won by Aitana Bonma.
