The Gwagwalada Area Council has opened tender for contractors with a call on them to ensure the delivery of projects within stipulated period.
Speaking during the opening of tender at the council’s conference hall on Monday, the head of administration of the council, Alhaji Musa Mohammed Loko, who is also the chairman of the tender committee, stressed the need for contractors handling projects across the council to ensure quality jobs were carried out.
He said the bid for the procurement of official vehicles for use by the council top officials was in line with the procurement act and that due process was followed.
He expressed satisfaction that the official opening of the bid documents was done in a transparent manner.
According to him, various documents were received by companies/ contractors for the purchase of official vehicles, adding that at the end of the exercise, a reputable company which meets the set guidelines will be awarded the job.
