Gwagwalada council boss appoints new district head for Paikon-Kore

Chairman of Gwagwalada area council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Abubakar Jibrin-Giri, has approved the appointment of Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, as the new district head of Paikon-Kore.
 A statement signed by the secretary of the council, Alhaji Usman Yahaya, said Alhaji Galadima succeeds the former district head of Paikon-Kore, Mr Simon Shanabo (Jnr), who died early last month after a protracted illness. 
 “We are happy that the community heeded to our advice to come together and decide on who will take over the position of a district head. It is important that they decided and brought out a competent person who will represent them well. 
 “At least, this will help a great deal to fill the vacuum the death of the late district head created. It will also help to avoid unnecessary tension that may arise because of the vacuum. We hope that the new person will perform as expected,” the statement said.
