Gusau varsity gets new Registrar

The federal university Gusau has appointed Yakubu Audu Anivbassa as its new Registrar.

In a statement the university’s Information Officer , Umar Usman, said the appointment was approved by the Counci.

A graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Malam Yakubu Audu Anivbassa also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Adminstration and a Master of Public Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

Malam Yakubu Audu Anivbassa is an indigene of Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria.

Until his appointment, as the second substantive Registrar of the University, he was a Deputy Registrar at the Institute of Development Research and Training, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.

He held various positions in his 24 years of service with Ahmadu Bello University.

As an administrator, Anivbassa has served in several committees both within and outside the university.

The appointment of the new Registrar is for a single term of five years which may be extended for another one year.
