Gusau served Zulum with conviction, strong commitment – Gov Buni

Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, has commiserated with his Borno State counterpart, Prof. Babagana Zulum, over the death of his spokesman, Malam Isa Gusau.

Buni described Gusau as a dedicated officer who served his principal with commitment and strong conviction, in a statement signed by Buni’s spokesman, Mamman Mohammed.

“Gusau had professionally managed information at the peak of the security challenge in the Northeast and Borno state in particular. He will be remembered for his resilience, commitment to duty, and long years of diligent service to the governor and government of Borno State,” Buni said.

“I condole His Excellency, my brother, Gov. Zulum, the government and people of Borno State over this sad loss at a time when his services are needed to support the government,” he said.

He prayed to God to forgive his shortcomings and grant his family the fortitude to bear this sad loss.

Malam Isa Gusau died on Thursday at an Indian hospital after a protracted ailment. His family, friends, associates and well wishers are currently waiting for his remains in Abuja for burial according to Islamic rites.
