Kidnappers have raided a herders’ camp and stole N3.2 million cash, foodstuff and sleeping mats in Agwe village in Kuje Area Council of the FCT.
A resident, Usman Danjuma, said the incident happened on Wednesday around 7am when the kidnappers, who were five in number wielding AK-47 rifles, invaded the settlement a few metres away from the village.
Danjuma also said the kidnappers invaded some farms in the area and harvested yam.
He further said, “Sometimes we do come across them on our farms, but they don’t harm or kidnap anybody, except that they go to people’s farms and harvest yam.”
There was no response from the spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine, on the incident.
