Gunmen kill 2 in Kaduna community

Suspected gunmen have allegedly killed two youths in Juji area in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident happened Thursday night around 11pm when the gunmen invaded the community, shooting sporadically.

Daily Trust gathered that the victims were from a neighboring community called Babban Saura who rushed to Juji to give a helping hand after hearing gunshots.

Juji Youth leader Comrade Hosea Bawa and also a member of Joint Taskforce confirmed the killing of the victims.

“The attackers came to our community [Thursday] around 11:pm. We engaged them in a gun battle but they succeeded in killing two Babban Saura youths who came to assist us . It was terrible ,” he said.

Asked if the gunmen abducted any resident during the attack, he said nobody was abducted.

Juji Community has witnessed attacks by suspected criminals which made the residents to form a JTF to police the area policing the area.

Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige didn’t pick his calls.
