Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have killed the Rigasa Old Students Association president, Comrade Auwal Rabiu near a train station at Rigasa in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State..
The gunmen, who invade the area Friday night, also injured one Umar Bn El-Khatab while another person identified as Sani Digana was abducted during the attack.
The three young men were said to be inside a vehicle when the gunmen fired at them at about 9pm along the Kaduna Airport link road to Rigasa train station in Igabi Local Government Area of the state.
The injured, Umar El-khatabb is said to be receiving treatment at a hospital.
Confirming the incident, a youth leader in Rigasa, Abdul’azeez Madugu said the deceased funeral prayer took place yesterday.
Madugu explains that gunmen have always attacked the route at night targeting vehicles plying the route.
He called on the government find a lasting solution to such attacks on innocent residents.
