Gunmen kill Plateau couple on bike

Police in Plateau say gunmen have shot dead a husband and wife in Miyango area of Bassa local government area.

The couple was ambushed and shot dead on a motorcycle around 7pm Friday as they returned from Miyango town.

Spokesperson of Plateau police command, Ubah Gabriel, said detectives from the command had been deployed to keep peace in the area and investigate the perpetrators of the attack.

“The investigation is ongoing to unravel the cause of death and to bring the perpetrators to justice,” said Gabriel.
