Gunmen kill Okada rider in Ekiti

Gunmen have killed a 35-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Abejide Ojo, in Oye LGA of Ekiti State.

The late Ojo was reportedly conveying a passenger from Isan to Ilemeso-Ekiti, when he ran into the gunmen who requested that he should carry them to a forest.

Ojo was said to have turned down their request and in the process of dragging his motorcycle with them, they shot him.

A source said, “The victim, who managed to reach Isan-Ekiti with the wounds from the gunshot, was said to have explained what transpired between him and the gunmen to people before he died.”

When contacted, the police spokesman in the state, DSP Sunday Abutu, promised he would get back after getting information on the matter.
